What's your Travel Style?
Some of you heard the word style, and you already feel like we have lost our minds right? It doesn't matter if you are wearing Gucci, or sporting your favorite Target outfit. That's not the type of style we are talking about today!
Travel style is more about how you travel, not what you wear while traveling! We won't dig into these in too much detail, but I do think it's important for you to understand our travel style.
Travel Styles:
- Backpacker/Budget Traveler
- Luxury Traveler
- Group Tour/Cruise Traveler
- Private Tour/Travel Agent Traveler
- Adventure/Active Traveler
- Slow/Long Term Traveler
There are plenty of descriptions of these types of travelers on other websites. I would tell you that we are a hodgepodge of several types of traveler.
We are of Group Tour/Cruise, Luxury, Private Tour/Travel Agent traveler, or as I'd describe it: A couple who loves the flexibility of cruising, prefers small group or private tours, who enjoy some luxury every now & then. (Mrs. Cruise Navigator prefers more luxury than Mr. Cruise Navigator if I'm honest). Obviously how we prefer to travel will dictate how we provide reviews & feedback.
Here are a few other helpful items about how we travel:
1. Food is important - we travel to eat! In all seriousness if I have to choose between splurging for a fancy meal at a top restaurant, or a private tour, I'm probably going to choose the top restaurant reservation.
2. Hotel Choices - I think hotel choices will say a lot about people's preferences - in general if we are traveling we are booking a Marriott property and most of the time we prefer full service hotels.
3. Tour Size Choices - We prefer small group (less than 12) or private we've had some bad experiences early on with large group tours (don't worry we will blog about those in detail as time goes by)
4. Cruise Line Preference - We are pretty loyal to www.princess.com. We have cruised other lines, and we will provide details as we provide reviews, but just know in general we are going to be referring to our great times on Princess, both now & in the future.
5. Cabin Preference - We book balcony or higher cabins. I will specify what type of cabin when that information is applicable.
6. Not Sponsored - we are NOT sponsored by any travel company, or cruise line, so our opinions are all our own and are not swayed by a free trip, or cruise, etc. If we ever get to that point (wishful thinking) we promise we will be upfront with you about it, and we will continue to share our honest opinion.
Now that you know a little more about us, I think we can dive into our Alaska Cruise that we just returned from in May 2022.
